Maybelline Color Blur by Lip Studio Cream Matte Pencil & Smudger Review & Swatches.

Hi lovelies!

I was fortunate enough to be invited to a Maybelline pre-release event last year in December, but unfortunately, was unable to attend as I was away. I was pleasantly surprised to find a surprise parcel on my return, however, as they were kind enough to send me a fantastic goodie bag with a sampling of new release items since I had missed the event! It was makeup heaven just opening that bag and looking at everything!

Isn't that a gorgeous assortment of goodies?! I'll be reviewing items over the next week or so, so be sure to leave a note in the comments if there's something in particular you want to see reviewed ASAP! The first thing to catch my eye were the lipsticks, and I was especially intrigued by the Maybelline Color Blur by Lip Studio Cream Matte Pencils, which is why they're the first items to be reviewed!

The Color Blur Pencil is a dual-ended slim stick, with a thin, wind-up lip pencil at one end, and a softly pointed rubber smudger on the other end. What I found to be a little surprising is that the wind-up mechanism is actually located on the smudger end, not the lipstick end as you'd expect.

Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer - Party Pop Review + Swatches!

Hi lovelies!

If, like me, you suffer from dry lips, you will absolutely love the lipsticks from the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer range! The lipsticks are amazing, smooth, weightless and creamy, providing intense colour without stripping moisture. The range promises to keep lips comfortably moisturised for up to 8 hours, and that's something I can attest to, as it feels like you're only wearing a lip balm on your lips. You know that feeling when you can comfortably rub your lips together? That's definitely achievable while wearing these lipsticks.

Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow Review + Swatches (Bella Rouge, Bella Navy, Bella Emerald, Bella Gold and Bella Copper)!

Hi lovelies!

Woohoo for the first post of 2016! Where does the time fly?!

I've been dithering over which topic to post about first, as I'm brimming with beautiful products to tell you about, but I decided to just dive in and write about one of the products I've been loving of late, the Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows! Whew, that was quite a mouthful, wasn't it?

Milani Cosmetics Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow.
What exactly IS a gel powder, you ask? According to the Milani website, it's thus named because the eyeshadow formula starts off as a gel that is then transformed by a 'special process' into a powder eyeshadow. It's quite a unique formula as it feels quite dry and powdery to the touch, yet applies beautifully to the eyelid without much fallout. It's incredibly pigmented, smooth and buttery! The formula is also designed to be used wet or dry, and applied either with your fingertips or with a brush. I'm generally not a fan of applying my eye makeup with my fingers (unless I'm using a cream shadow, that is) but I actually do like using my finger tips with these for a more subtle wash of colour, and a brush for when I'm after a more intense look!
