Chanelling Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga Inspired Makeup

Hello lovelies!

I have a very special post to share today...as I'm channelling my inner Lady Gaga (because I was born this way ♪)!

Lady Gaga (taken from Google)

The beautiful Aqeela from Aqeela's blog came up with a brilliant idea a couple of weeks ago, where she'd suggest a weekly theme for anyone who was so inclined to participate, and they would all send her their eye makeup photos to showcase on her blog. She's been through a tropical theme and Arabic theme, but sadly, I was unable to participate then as I was a bit short on time.

However, I managed to come up with a look for her third theme, 'Lady Gaga'. Using the look above for inspiration, I came up with my own interpretation of this look.

Products used:

Eyes
Pink and black shadow from the Beauty UK Day and Night palette
Lakme black satin kajal eyeliner (for the pattern)
Essence black gel liner (on the upper lashline)
Bourjois white pencil for the waterline
Revlon false lashes

Face
Mineral makeup sample

Lips
OCC lip tar in Grandma
Kit Cosmetics clear gloss on top

Overall, I didn't use many products, really!

I hope you enjoyed that, it was great fun doing this look and I hope to be able to do more themed looks.

Much love,
MM.

EOTD - Purple smoke

Hi lovelies,

Here is a simple look I did using just one shadow quad, my Lakme Silk Route eyeshadow palette.

(Taken from StyleCraze.com)

The picture of the palette doesn't do it justice; there's a soft pink, a golden brown, a deep purple and a smokey gunmetal shade. The lighter two shades make excellent choices for when you're after a subtle look for work, or if you're pressed for time but would still like a bit of colour for a pick me up.

I've used the golden brown in the inner corner, soft pink all over the eyelid, deep purple in and just above the crease and also blended the gunmetal in the outer corner, before finishing with black eyeliner. I also used the first three shadows on the lower lashliner and finished off with the L'oreal 4D Lash Architect mascara.

I have included several photos below with different lighting conditions (but all taken in my flat, with artificial lighting, unfortunately).

I hope you enjoyed that, lovelies! I have another post coming up in the next couple of days showcasing some simple nail art that I'm currently wearing, so please stay tuned!

Much love,
MM.

EOTD

Hey lovelies,

Welcome to my first 'my eye of the day', EOTD, post!

I think I'm still hyped up over Australia Day because my theme was green and gold. :)

Apologies over the photo quality, I just can't get the hang of taking photos which show the true depth of colour without giving myself an epic headache. Does anyone have any photography tips for me? I assure you it will be much appreciated!

I've tried to take photos from various angles and in different light conditions to give you a proper idea of what this looks like. I used the green and gold shades from my Lakme eye colour quartet in Tanjore Rush.

Hope you liked it!

Much love,
MM.
