2014 Birthday Haul Part 2 - Sephora US.

Hi lovelies,

Here is the long overdue second haul post I promised (you can see parts 1 and 3 here and here). Before I continue, I’m just going to apologise for the fact that some of the items are permanently out of stock. That’s the problem with blogging about limited edition items, you need to do it ASAP or it’s gone, and I always feel awful blogging about things which are no longer available to purchase.

Everything in this haul was purchased from Sephora, with the exception of that single MAC lipstick. Here’s the photo of everything I picked up in this haul. Be warned, this is going to be very photo heavy!

Keep reading after the jump!

Before I move on to the Sephora items, I’ll just quickly show you the MAC lipstick. It’s called Fast Play and is an Amplified Crème. Truth be told it’s pretty similar to Twig, which I already own, but it does pull slightly darker on my lips and is also a lot more comfortable to wear than Twig, which is why I was happy to buy it.

From Sephora, I also picked up the limited edition Buxom Full On Lipstick in Dolly. Dolly is part of the full range but this particular lipstick is housed in special packaging, with a kiss on the lid. I’m a huge fan of the Full On Lipstick range and this is no different. Next, I picked up a dual ended Bite lipstick duo in Fig/Date. I’d always wanted to try Bite lipsticks so this was a great option as it came with two mini lipsticks in the one handy case.

In addition to Dolly, I decided I wanted to try some Full Bodied lipsticks from the Buxom range, so I picked up this ‘2 of a kind’ pack with two mini lipsticks in Hooligan and Mistress. The colours are beautiful.

My favourite mascara is  Hypnose Drama, so I was going to pick up a new one when I noticed this special edition set which also had a lash primer, kohl pencil, liquid liner and mini BiFacil makeup remover (my HG eye makeup remover), for the same price as buying the mascara alone. Naturally, I couldn’t resist the bargain, as I had also just run out of my liquid liner at the time.

I was especially excited to try this mask pack from the Sephora favourites range, containing the Boscia luminizing black mask, Origins active charcoal mask, Peter Thomas Roth cucumber gel mask and Glamglow hydrating treatment. The only one from this set that I had tried before was the Boscia mask, which I did like, so I was keen as beans to try the others in this set. The products are all quite generously sized, so it should last a good while.

If you’re a longtime reader, you’ll know that I love my Clinique chubby sticks, so I couldn’t resist picking up this Christmas set with 4 deluxe sized chubby sticks in Super Strawberry and Mega Melon, plus 2 deluxe chubby stick intense in Curviest Caramel and Broadest Berry.  It was excellent value as the entire pack only cost $25.

The Hourglass ambient powder wardrobe is one that I’d been eyeing for quite some time, so I decided to finally take the plunge and purchase it. Let me just say, I haven’t regretted it at all!

Now, I usually don’t buy mascaras because I try not to have too many open at the same time, and I do have a healthy stash back in Melbourne…but the LashStash pack from the Sephora favourites range just fell into my cart! It’s got ten different deluxe samples in this set, plus one with a primer and a Sephora brand makeup remover, so suffice to say I’ll be set for a while! It was really good value at $49, especially as there were quite a few in there that I wanted to try (including a deluxe Hypnose Drama)!

November was my birthday month so I also got my free MUFE birthday pack from Sephora. I was a VIB Rouge at the time, so I got a mini lipstick, mascara (yes, another one!) and liner in my set. Isn’t that a great freebie?! It's so cute!

Sephora also had a great freebie sample pack on offer with every order above $25, so I got this great gift pack containing deluxe samples of an Urban Decay liner, Marc Jacobs lipgloss, Kat Von D liquid lipstick, Smashbox 24 hour eye primer, Hypnose Drama mascara (a third one!! I'm going to be well stocked for a while) and Philosophy body lotion.  There were also supposed to be a couple of perfume samples in there but they were taken out as perfumes are considered hazardous goods when it comes to shipping.

Last but not least, there were some other random freebies I picked up with my Sephora points, as shown below. I’m on the lookout for a new eye cream and was considering buying Origins Ginzing, so I picked up a sample to try before buying. I also got a Super Strawberry chubby stick using my Sephora points, so I’ll either pass it on to mum, or include it in an upcoming giveaway.

The last item was a freebie plastic Sephora tote added with one of my orders; I’m not sure what I’ll use it for but I’m sure it’ll come in handy at some point.

What do you think of this haul, lovelies? Is there anything you want to see reviewed? If so, let me know in the comments and I’ll do my best to oblige!

Much love,
MM.
