Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment Review!

Hi lovelies,

As some of you may know, I'm part of the BeautyDirectory Expert Panel of Bloggers, and I am occasionally fortunate enough to trial products as part of my involvement. The latest product was the revamped Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment, which I was excited about as I adore all things nails! This treatment is enriched with avocado oil, sea salt, pomegranate extract and calcium, to protect and nourish nails.

Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment.

My nails are pretty healthy, as you can see here, but I occasionally experience splitting/breakage. The Sally Hansen 7-in-1 treatment sounds impressive because it presents the solution to dryness, dullness, ridges, breakage and peeling (or all of them)! It vows to restore dry, brittle nails, making them brighter, shinier, stronger, more moisturised and fills in ridges, with visible differences after just three days of use. Best of all, it can be used as a base coat and top coat with your choice of polish, though you can, of course, just choose to wear it on naked nails. Sounds pretty good, doesn't it?

Keep reading after the jump!

As per the instructions, I applied a thin layer of it as my base coat, before applying two coats of my favourite polish, and finishing with an additional layer as my top coat. I then applied a new layer over my polish every day for two additional days. (unfortunately, that's all I had time for as the product arrived too close to the review date thanks to the public holiday we had last week). The brush was really easy to use, and applied the treatment beautifully without issues. The formula was also really good as it dried very quickly, though there was a slight 'solvent' scent to it. It wasn't overly strong, but it's worth a mention for those with sensitive noses.

So what did I think of it? I wouldn't say there was a huge difference with use after three days, but that's largely because my nails were relatively healthy to begin with, bar some minor splitting. Nevertheless, my nails appeared more glossy, smooth and shiny with the treatment used as topcoat, and were quite moisturised and healthy-looking when I took the polish off to look at my bare nails. I love the convenience of being able to use the treatment as a base and top coat, and it dries so quickly that smudges aren't of consequence. My nails also feel a little stronger after using it, so all in all, I was pretty impressed, and would definitely recommend it.

This treatment retails for $19.95 and will be available from February 2016 at standard Sally Hansen stockists like Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Target, Big W, K-mart, Coles, Woolworths and selected pharmacies. Considering the mani (geddit?) benefits, I'd say that's a steal!

Will you be checking this out, beauties? Do you have problems with your nails?

Much love,
MM.

It's frustrating when you've not had enough time to properly test a product before the review date, though, isn't it!?

  11. This is pretty much considered "cheap" as far as drugstore nail treatments go in Australia. I have been loving using mine as a base and top coat as well as a nail treatment. Great review! xx
