Eles Winter Look 2013 - A Touch of Blush makeup look and swatches.

Hello lovelies,

One more day to the weekend, woohoo! I had to skip this week's makeup tag as it's just been a bit crazy around here, but don't be too sad; I have another makeup look to share, the Eles Winter 2013 Look!

Called 'A Touch of Blush', I was thrilled when I was offered the opportunity to recreate the look. We all know how much I love a makeup challenge, and it's especially exciting as I'd never tried products from Eles before! The look is supposed to be about contoured and understated eyes, teamed with a radiant blush of lips and cheeks.

I was sent most of the items in the Eles Winter 2013 collection to help create the look, namely; the Mineral Eyeshadow in Sand, Powderliner Pencil in Tornado, Liquid Lustre Gloss in Tempest, Mineral Blush in Coral Sun, Brow Sculpt in Brunette and Lush Mascara in Black.

Here's the look I came up with!

To create this look, I applied my Youngblood Mineral Powder Foundation in Toffee for my base. Then, I dampened a shadow brush and dipped it in the Sand shadow. I found that when I applied Sand dry, it tended to just 'disappear' into my skin as the shade was too similar to my skintone, so dampening my brush and pressing the shadow onto my lids gave me a gorgeous shade that really defined my eyelids.

I used the pencil in Tornado on my upper lashline, and traced it along the outer third on my lower lashline, before gently blending it with the smudger provided on the end of the pencil. I then applied the wax and the brown shadow from my Brow Sculpt kit to my eyebrows to better define my eye area, before curling my lashes and applying the Lush Mascara.

Next, I picked up a slanted blush brush and applied a liberal dusting of the Coral Sun blush to the apples of my cheeks. It created a gorgeous, natural flush of coral that would suit most skintones. It does start off quite sheer but you can easily build up the colour by applying a few more layers.

My lips have quite a bit of natural pigmentation, in addition to a natural lip line, so I decided to cheat my way by applying a very thin layer of the Eles Micro Bubble lipstick in Sachet, blotting it off, and then applying a thin layer of the Tempest gloss on top.

That's it, lovelies, a very simple and easy to recreate look! What do you think of this natural look? I think my favourite items from the Winter Collection have to be the Brow Sculpt kit and the Coral Sun blush, do any of these strike your fancy? Let me know if you want me to review any of these items separately.

Much love,
MM.
x

  1. Coco, that's a gorgeous elegant look, suitable for both day and night time wear. It reminds me of the no makeup, make up look... Very natural, but stunning! The Eles range looks lovely, I was lucky to win their Concealer a while ago and that was a great product :)

  10. I'm obsessed with the Coral Sun blush. It's interesting that it seems more peachy orange on my pale skin. It looks more pinky in your photos. Just goes to show how versatile it is on any skintone :)

    1. I think it's definitely an undertone thing! Most blushes end up looking a bit pinky on me, lol.
