August 2013 Lust Have It Review!

Hello lovelies,

It's that time of the month again, Lust Have It review time! I noticed a post on their wall saying that this month's box would be packaged in an assortment of colours from previous months, as Lust Have It were going to roll out a new packaging that was more environmentally friendly, and wanted to use up their remaining stock, so we'll have to say goodbye to these pretty paisley boxes. Can't wait to see what's next, we've had everything from white cardboard boxes, to coloured makeup bags, to these paisley magnetic boxes!

Here's what I received this month:

Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator (full sized)

Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup (sachet)

KMS California Free Shape Shampoo (sachet)

KMS California Free Shape Hot Flex Spray (deluxe sample)

SinfulColours Nail Enamel (full sized)

Lush Moisturiser - Shangri La (deluxe sample)

La Roche Posay Lipikar Balm (deluxe sample)

Paula's Choice Resist Ultra Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum (deluxe sample)

There were also a couple of brochures and discount vouchers in there (which, to be honest, I usually don't pay much attention to, because I'm always in a hurry to tear into my box)!

Keep reading after the jump!

August 2013 Lust Have It.
L-R: KMS Shampoo Sachet, KMS spray and SinfulColours nail polish.
L-R: Revlon Photoready Skinlights, Lush Shangri La moisturiser and Revlon foundation swatches.
L-R: La Roche-Posay Lipikar moisturiser & Paula's Choice serum.

What did I think of this month's box? I really liked it! There is a nice mix of haircare, skincare, polish and makeup, which makes it really well balanced. I've heard some really good things about the Paula's Choice serum as well as the Lush moisturiser, and a good friend tells me that she swears by Lipikar, so I am keen to give them a go.

I'm also really keen on the nail polish, Sinful has been on my list of budget brands to try so I'm happy to trial this to decide if they are worth buying. I also really love the shade! The Revlon Skinfinish is something I've used a looooong time ago, so I can't wait to see if they live up to how I remember them. The KMS heat protector spray is pretty cute and I love heat protectors, so that's another thumbs up from me! The only two items I'm feeling a bit ambivalent about are the foundation samples and the shampoo sachet. I was initially excited to see the Revlon foundation mentioned on the info card, but the little swatch card won't provide much use beyond swatching them on the back of your hand! I also have a little thing about using shampoo and conditioner from the same brand, so it's always a bit odd when one turns up without the other, but I might still give it a go the next time I put a deep conditioning mask in my hair.

Verdict? Liked this box and thought it was great value for money! I can't wait to paint my nails with that polish. :)

What did you think of this box? Would you have been happy to get it?

Much love,
MM.

  11. That looks like a pretty good box to me. They should've given you a tiny bit more product in those foundation samples so you could at least get 2 or 3 uses out of them.
