New Hair Colour - 'Balayage'.

Hi lovelies!

Short (and sweet, hopefully) post to share my new hair with all of you!

Before photo.

Basically, I was interested in getting the balayage look but I didn't want to ruin my hair by bleaching it too much. My hairstylist decided the best option was to give me balayage foils, only it didn't end up quite the shade we had anticipated (apparently my hair is resistant to lightening or something like that...go figure), so we ended up with almost coppery tones throughout. It's actually quite hard to photograph as it seems to look different every time I try to take a photo!

After photo, wearing it straight.
I was wearing it pretty straight when I got home, and decided to try putting some waves/curls through (I don't know why but balayage always seems to look nicer with curls).

And these photos were taken the next day after the curls had relaxed a little.

Overall, I do like it, although it wasn't 'exactly' what I was going for, but hey, I figure I'll let it go for a bit and if I get sick of it, I'll just dye it another colour! Or I'll add in another shade and end up with dip dyed locks! Life's too short to be boring! :P

Oh, and after my hair appointment, I stopped at the market and got some lovely orchids for myself, because I'm worth it. ;) I love them, they are so pretty and summery, it makes me happy just looking at it!

What do you think of my new hair colour, ladies? Do you ever buy yourself flowers?

    1. I wonder why ours is? It makes it rather hard to get adventurous...sigh.

  2. Love it! I'm so jelly of anyone with long wavy hair who can pull off the ombre look, I agree that it looks much better with waves. Looks good on you though! What colours would you think of dyeing it with in the future?

    1. Aw, thank you. I'm sure you could pull it off, too, your bob would look tres chic with ombre/foils!

I might perhaps add a red to it. :)

I don't know why but curls make everything look prettier. :)

    1. Oh, thanks, Mish, but it's usually straight/wavy like the first photo...I do wish it would be curly or in waves naturally!

  8. Absolutely gorgeous Hun, whichever way you want to wear it. Nearly had a fit when I read about "my new hair" thinking you might have had it cut short. So glad you didn't.

    1. Aw, Vita, you are too sweet, I think it just really big and bouncy because of the waves! It's a lot flatter when it's straight, haha.

Thank you, I really wasn't very sure about it but you are all experts so if you all like it, it must not be that bad!

    1. I agree completely! I LOVE playing with my hair and change it around all the time, but working outdoors can really damage my hair, and now that it's in relatively good condition, I hesitate to bleach it in case it gets fried!

  13. Adore the coppery tone Coco - it suits you SO well! Love it when things don't turn out according to plan, but they're fab anyway. The soft waves are super sexy too, but you always look stunning sweetie :-) And gorgeous orchids - I only ever see the purpley pink ones in my neighbourhood, but this mix of colours is so cheering :-)

  17. It looks really nice! I love your hair when it's got a bit of a curl to it, too. I don't buy myself flowers but getting them (birthday!) makes me ueber happy for the rest of the day. I'm always jealous when I see someone obviously buying flowers for someone else...
